Important: Native Instruments Pro Tools compatibility under Mac OS X 10.5 – Soundsonline-Forums
Native Instruments has identified a major compatibility issue with its products in Pro Tools hosts under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. This issue can result in intermittent freezes when running RTAS versions of NI instruments or effects with Pro Tools under the latest Macintosh operating system.

Native Instruments is working closely with Digidesign to resolve these compatibility issues and will release RTAS updates for its products as soon as possible. A specific release schedule will be provided at a later date. In the meantime, Native Instruments does not recommend using the RTAS versions of its products under Mac OS X 10.5 in conjunction with Pro Tools.

Plenty of us, myself included, spend a lot of time talking about gear.

“What’s the best setting for the new Soundmaster5603aZ4 compressor????”

“How many terrabytes of RAM do I get for my new 28-core computer????”

One thing to remember is this: without healthy ears, all of that gear talk is useless. So what are some things you can do to keep them healthy and happy? I’ll list a few suggestions here.

This is a promo video that we are working on for The Studio Files. The artist is singer-songwriter Jim Hiller from Dayton. He plays weekends at Madison’s Bistro in Kettering. Thanks, Jim! We are working on more web episodes profiling local Dayton, Ohio independent recording studios and artists who are recording their own songs.
