Notice how the snare top mic occurs slightly before the snare bottom mic. Because of this, the mics are out of phase. The peaks of the top mic occur when the troughs (or dips) of the bottom mic occur. This will likely cause some cancellation (of certain frequencies) or change the overall timbre of the snare.
