Just went up to 10.5.8 and pro tools le 8.01, ppc g5 2.3, I can not get any audio to play, also digi not showing up, I have checked the digi out with a full working G4 and all good, should I be going back to 7.4.11 pro tools and osx 10.4.

Have disks for my old, new macbook tiger but the one I’m on now is the leopard. Due to children spillage on my previous beauty! I am unable to get sound and it shows only the microphone in/out and w/headset. I’ve tried downloads other things also thinking that there may be an audio core pkg. on my tiger disks but no nothing still?

My digi003 disconnects from Core Audio (Pro Tools LE 8.0.3/Leopard 10.5.6) frequently. Yesterday I noticed this to happen everytime when I turned ON the room tube-light which also failed to get ON due to low voltage problems around the neighborhood during evening/night. I think this is the reason for loss of communication and frequent timeouts. I’ll deploy a UPS or stabilizer and see!

I would back track to 7.4/10.4

PowerPC’s are at the end of the road for Digi compatibility unfortunately… While they are tecnically qualified, I would guess that their compatibility performance is not at the top of the Digi priority list.
